Responsibilities For Sr. Embedded Systems Engineer (Remote - US)

  • Design and develop embedded Linux systems using Yocto or Buildroot on ARM-based SoCs
  • Lead bootloader and kernel customization, device tree configuration, and peripheral driver integration
  • Serve as technical lead for embedded software across global ODM and JDM partners
  • Integrate and optimize imaging pipelines using camera modules, ISP drivers, and media frameworks
  • Oversee LCD/touchscreen display bring-up, driver integration, and UI framework deployment
  • Work with modern SoCs and integrate various interfaces
  • Tune system performance for boot time, CPU/memory utilization, graphics rendering, and media playback
  • Collaborate with hardware, product, QA, UI/UX, and cloud teams
  • Own system-level debugging and validation
  • Support firmware release processes and partner handoffs

Requirements For Sr. Embedded Systems Engineer (Remote - US)

Linux
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of embedded development experience with Linux-based systems on ARM SoCs
  • Proven experience managing ODM/JDM partners on embedded software delivery
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++, Linux kernel internals, and embedded Linux distributions
  • Experience with camera systems, ISP integration, and media frameworks
  • Expertise in UI frameworks and display subsystems
  • Excellent debugging and system profiling skills
  • Familiarity with GitHub and Jira
