Responsibilities For Sr. Firmware Engineer (Remote - US)

  • Lead the specification, review, and validation of BLE, Wi-Fi, Cellular, and GPS modules integrated into embedded systems
  • Serve as the primary firmware point of contact for ODM and JDM partners
  • Define and review low-power operation strategies and radio duty cycling
  • Guide implementation of IoT protocols over wireless stacks
  • Ensure secure and reliable communication through TLS/DTLS and VPNs
  • Lead debugging of connectivity, RF performance, and interoperability issues
  • Define and review OTA firmware update workflows
  • Support wireless testing and regulatory certifications

Requirements For Sr. Firmware Engineer (Remote - US)

Linux
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
  • 5+ years of embedded firmware development experience
  • Experience collaborating with ODM/JDM partners
  • Expertise with BLE, Wi-Fi, Cellular, and GNSS/GPS modules
  • Strong ability to design low-power firmware
  • Familiarity with MCU platforms and RTOS environments
