As a Security Engineer, you'll work at the intersection of infrastructure, engineering, and security, developing systems that ensure platform safety and reliability.
The position offers a unique opportunity to work with cloud-native technologies, primarily using Python and AWS serverless architecture. You'll be responsible for building and maintaining security services, implementing automation, and ensuring early threat detection. Responsibilities For Security Engineer
- Work on backend components written in Python/FastAPI hosted on AWS serverless architecture
- Build and maintain cloud-native services
- Engage in team rituals including daily syncs, planning sessions, demos, and technical discussions
- Contribute to platform security and threat prevention
- Ship automation and security services
- Implement and maintain security controls
Requirements For Security Engineer
- 5+ years in security engineering roles in cloud-native environments
- Strong experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP security tools and best practices
- Familiarity with DevSecOps and integrating security in CI/CD
- Deep understanding of security controls, risk management, and compliance
- Backend engineer/SRE experience (Python, Bash, Terraform)
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Strong engineering fundamentals
