As an Engineering Manager for the Feature Engineering team, you'll lead the development of Tecton's core Feature Engineering SDK, APIs, and developer toolkit. You'll shape the team's strategic direction, influencing Tecton's core user experience from sign-up through feature development to production.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and coaching a talented engineering team
- Building product and infrastructure for Tecton's Feature Engineering frameworks
- Recruiting top-tier talent and partnering with stakeholders
- Developing product vision and strategy with cross-functional teams
- Executing on an aggressive product roadmap
You'll work on:
- Developer-centric APIs, Python SDKs, and CLIs
- APIs for real-time ML use cases like RecSys and Fraud Detection
- Interoperability between Tecton's logical compute definitions and physical compute integrations
- Core user workflows from feature development to production feature serving
Ideal candidates have:
- 7+ years of software engineering experience in high-scale products or infrastructure
- 3+ years in ML engineering or developer-centric platforms
- 2+ years of people management experience
- Passion for building intuitive developer tooling, APIs, and DSLs
- Experience with Batch and Streaming Data Pipelines
- Strong communication skills and ability to write technical specifications
- Excitement for coaching and mentoring engineers
