Responsibilities For Senior Principal Development Engineer
- Lead product development from concept through prototype, validation, and production release
- Direct and manage engineering team activities
- Guide requirements definition, architecture, and technical analysis
- Design and support electronic systems including optoelectronics, sensors, displays, and power management
- Develop box-level hardware architectures
- Perform technical analyses including electrical part stress and worst-case circuit analysis
- Generate and maintain technical documentation
- Lead and present design reviews
- Review and create mechanical CAD models
Requirements For Senior Principal Development Engineer
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering required; MSEE preferred
- 10+ years in electronic design engineering
- Experience in defense or aerospace sectors
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and mentor junior engineers
- Multidisciplinary background across systems, mechanical, optical, thermal, and materials engineering
- Strong understanding of product assurance, cost control, and schedule adherence
- Familiarity with military standards
- Proficiency in OrCAD and PSpice for circuit analysis
- Experience with SolidWorks
