With over 50 years of excellence in satellite communications, Telesat operates a fleet of 14 GEO satellites and is developing the Lightspeed network scheduled for 2027 launch.

Responsibilities For Senior System Engineer
- Develop new solutions to commercial needs using the Telesat Lightspeed system
- Support sales activities by evaluating complex use cases using simulation tools
- Evaluate system performance boundaries by incorporating user traffic profiles and terminal mix
- Help prepare and manage feature development roadmap
- Develop technical documentation and reports
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations supporting solutions
Requirements For Senior System Engineer
- B.Sc. in Electrical, Computer or System Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in satellite communications
- Experience in system simulations and service performance assessments
- Programming experience in Matlab and/or Python
- Knowledge of radio communication systems and satellite communication
- Creative problem-solver with attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Fluent in English
- Must be able to work in Canada and obtain clearance under Canadian Controlled Goods program
