2026 Software Engineer Co-op

Terex Corporation is seeking a Software Engineer Co-op to join their Controls Systems team in the Design Engineering organization at Genie. This position is part of the Terex Early Talent Program, a strategic initiative designed to identify and develop future leaders of their global organization.

The role focuses on embedded systems development, where you'll work on safety-critical control systems for physical Genie products. You'll be using C++ to design, develop, and debug software, while also writing unit integration tests for both simulator and actual product testing. This hands-on position offers real-world experience in industrial automation and robotics, with direct mentorship from experienced engineers.

The position offers competitive compensation ($26-28/hour based on education level) and includes benefits like medical insurance and holiday pay. The work environment is hybrid, requiring at least 3 days per week in-person at either the Redmond or Bothell, WA location.
