The position involves architecting and designing rugged, high-performance hardware solutions for demanding real-world applications in commercial fleets and municipal infrastructure. As a senior engineer, you'll have direct ownership of critical hardware used across large-scale deployments while working at the intersection of hardware, AI, and connected systems.
The role requires expertise in designing multilayer PCBs with high-speed digital, analog, and RF components, including LTE, GNSS, Ethernet, CAN, and USB interfaces. You'll validate designs through comprehensive review processes and lab testing, while ensuring environmental robustness for outdoor and automotive applications.

Responsibilities For Hardware Engineer III, Embedded Systems
- Architect and design ECAD and MCAD solutions
- Design multilayer PCBs with high-speed digital, analog, and RF components
- Validate designs through schematic review, layout verification, and lab bring-up
- Collaborate with mechanical teams to ensure environmental robustness
- Design and support custom test fixtures
- Serve as Tier 3 technical resource for field issues
- Mentor junior engineers
- Establish best practices for schematic capture, layout, and validation
Requirements For Hardware Engineer III, Embedded Systems
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field
- 6+ years experience in hardware design and development
- Expertise in cellular/gnss module integration, mixed-signal design and power supply architecture
- Experience with high-speed interfaces (MIPI, DDR, USB, Ethernet)
- Strong experience with lab debugging
- Track record of shipping hardware in rugged environments
- Proficiency with Altium Designer or similar EDA tools
- Knowledge of SolidWorks or similar MCAD tools
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
