Responsibilities For Vehicle Electrical Controls Programming Engineer III

  • Design and develop control systems specific to the refuse industry
  • Write production-quality software
  • Create prototypes to evaluate preliminary designs
  • Integrate components to produce final products
  • Evaluate designs for effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety
  • Develop control system software and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI)
  • Troubleshoot issues related to hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and structural systems
  • Act as technical mentor to less experienced engineers
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously

Requirements For Vehicle Electrical Controls Programming Engineer III

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
  • 4 to 7 years related experience in controls and assembly operations
  • Ground up development experience with PLC applications
  • Proficiency in CODESYS 2.3 & 3.5, IEC 61131-3, MATLAB Simulink
  • Knowledge of CAN Bus, LIN, Automotive Ethernet protocols
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good electrical and mechanical skills
  • Wiring schematic design capabilities
