Responsibilities For CAE Analysis Engineer, Structures & Durability, Semi
- Develop strength and durability FE models for analysis and optimization of vehicle architectures
- Challenge established traditional CAE methods and process to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Use CAE tools to optimize performance for BIW, closures, chassis, and other sub-systems
- Support Engineering teams with design direction based on analyses
- Perform analysis for feasibility for manufacturing, assembly and service processes
Requirements For CAE Analysis Engineer, Structures & Durability, Semi
- Deep understanding of mechanics of materials, statics, and dynamics
- Ability to work independently and with others on complex problems
- Experience in Finite Element Analysis, Fatigue Analysis, Applied Solid Mechanics
- Understanding of Statistics and optimization techniques
- Knowledge of Python and Linux
- Experience in 3D CAD modeling - CATIA v5/v6
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience
