Responsibilities For Cellular Systems Test Engineer

  • Develop comprehensive end-to-end test plans, procedures, and scripts for Tesla's cellular protocol stack
  • Collaborate with software development and manufacturing teams for testing support and integration
  • Investigate and resolve issues reported by QA teams and customer feedback
  • Contribute to test automation frameworks and data analysis tools development
  • Analyze telemetry data to identify fleet-wide issues and optimization areas
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lead and manage key tasks to completion

Requirements For Cellular Systems Test Engineer

Linux
  • Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering with focus on Wireless Communication or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of experience in the Cellular industry
  • Strong understanding of 5G, LTE, UMTS, CDMA, and GSM technologies
  • In-depth knowledge of 3GPP protocols
  • Experience with field trials, IoT, IODT, or related testing environments
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts
  • Proficiency in Python, adb, Shell scripting
  • Experience with Cellular test equipment and test automation frameworks
  • Familiarity with Docker, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD tools
  • Experience in Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
