Job Description

Tesla is seeking a skilled Electrical Test Technician to join their team, focusing on the testing and validation of high voltage inverters and power conversion systems for semi trucks. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with electrical circuits, high voltage systems, and basic electronic troubleshooting.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing testing and validation of high voltage inverters and power conversion systems under various conditions
  • Conducting electrical measurements and tests using equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and semiconductor analyzers
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues in electrical boards and systems
  • Assisting in the setup and maintenance of test rigs and equipment
  • Documenting test procedures, results, and observations
  • Collaborating with engineers and team members to improve test processes and outcomes

Requirements:

  • Basic understanding of electrical circuits and high voltage safety practices
  • Experience with electrical testing equipment
  • Ability to solder and work with electrical boards
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting techniques for electronic systems
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
  • Experience with high voltage inverter testing or power conversion systems (preferred)
  • Knowledge of semiconductor measurement techniques (preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment (preferred)
