Description For Firmware Validation Engineer, Low Voltage Power

Tesla's Low Voltage Power Firmware Team is seeking a Firmware Validation Engineer to join their innovative automotive technology division. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality and safety of Tesla's vehicle power management and distribution features. You'll be working at the forefront of sustainable transportation technology, designing and implementing firmware validation procedures and automation systems.

Responsibilities For Firmware Validation Engineer, Low Voltage Power

  • Design, implement, validate, and maintain component-level testers (HIL and SIL)
  • Create software models of physical systems
  • Design software validation infrastructure
  • Create and execute test plans
  • Design advanced automated test suites
  • Create reporting mechanisms for automated testing
  • Understand and deconstruct complicated software systems
  • Report test coverage and evaluation metrics

Requirements For Firmware Validation Engineer, Low Voltage Power

Python
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
  • 1+ year of relevant experience in embedded design/validation
  • Proficiency in Python and comprehension of C
  • Expertise testing devices and debugging hardware
  • Experience in electronic and system schematic design (Altium Designer) preferred
  • Experience with HIL/SIL test setups preferred
  • Familiarity with National Instrument Testing Software preferred
  • Knowledge of source control (Git) and continuous integration (Jenkins) preferred
