Tesla is seeking an Embedded Developer Chassis Controls intern for their Vehicle Firmware team for Winter/Spring 2025. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology in the automotive industry.
The intern will be involved in the development of real-time embedded software for control and safety management in Tesla vehicles. They will participate in the full lifecycle of firmware development, from concept to integration, testing, and release. Key responsibilities include bringup and fault response validation, as well as Processor-in-the-Loop (PIL) test integration.
Ideal candidates should be pursuing a degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field, with an expected graduation date between April 2025 and December 2026. Strong C coding skills are essential, and experience with embedded development, low-level microcontroller programming, and complex PCBA work is preferred.
This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Interns will work closely with their Manager, Mentor, and team on critical projects, contributing directly to Tesla's mission of accelerating the world's transition to sustainable energy.
