Description For Internship, Technical Program Manager Software Release, Energy Engineering

Tesla's Energy Software team is seeking passionate interns to contribute to the world's sustainable future transition. As a Technical Program Manager (TPM) Intern, you'll play a crucial role in managing over-the-air (OTA) software releases for Tesla's energy products. This position offers significant project ownership while providing excellent mentorship.

The role involves coordinating end-to-end software release launches, working closely with cross-functional engineering teams, and ensuring smooth, timely deployments. You'll be responsible for managing release timelines, communicating with stakeholders, and overseeing the sign-off process for software launches.

This is an exceptional opportunity for STEM or Computer Science students to gain hands-on experience in technical program management at a leading sustainable technology company. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities. You'll work in a fast-paced environment where you'll develop valuable skills in software release management and cross-functional team coordination.

  • Manage and communicate scope, schedule, and launch changes
  • Manage and Coordinate end-to-end software release sign-off process
  • Ensure on-time software launches

Requirements For Internship, Technical Program Manager Software Release, Energy Engineering

  • Pursuing a degree in STEM, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Prior experience in technical program management (TPM/EPM), software release management preferred
  • Ability to work with agility in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Experience with software development and program management tools (JIRA, GIT/Stash, Confluence) preferred
