Description For Internship, Validation Engineer Low Voltage Power Management, Vehicle Firmware (Summer 2025)

Tesla's Low Voltage Power Firmware Team is seeking an intern to join their innovative vehicle software division. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on power distribution and management features for Tesla's cutting-edge vehicle platforms. As an intern, you'll be immersed in developing and testing crucial firmware validation procedures that ensure the quality and safety of Tesla's driving experience.

The position combines hands-on experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and software-in-the-loop (SIL) testing, providing invaluable exposure to real-world automotive software development. You'll work directly with development and integration teams, contributing to the creation of automated validation infrastructures that directly impact product reliability and robustness.

This internship is perfect for students pursuing degrees in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related fields who are passionate about sustainable transportation. You'll gain practical experience with industry-standard tools and technologies, including Python, C, and potentially Rust. The role offers competitive compensation ($36.06 - $50.48/hour) and comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.

Located in the heart of Silicon Valley at Tesla's Palo Alto facility, this position offers the chance to work on-site with some of the industry's brightest minds. The minimum 12-week commitment during Summer 2025 provides ample time to make meaningful contributions to Tesla's mission of accelerating the world's transition to sustainable energy.

This role is ideal for candidates who combine technical aptitude with a passion for clean energy and automotive innovation. You'll develop valuable skills in firmware validation, automated testing, and systems integration while contributing to Tesla's groundbreaking vehicle technology. The experience gained will be invaluable for a career in automotive software engineering or embedded systems development.
