Responsibilities For Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer, Powerwall
- Modeling and design of mechanical systems and components including plastic, metal and sheet metal parts
- Mechanical design analysis including thermal, structural, design for assembly, and design for test
- Solve electronics packaging issues including isolation, EMC, RF transmission, thermal management
- Create drawing packages and instructions for manufacturing and assembly
- Assist in engineering prototype builds and component fabrication
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams
Requirements For Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer, Powerwall
- 2+ years experience designing high volume electronics products or appliances
- Deep understanding of material science of components
- Experience using 3D mechanical design and analysis tools
- Experience with DFMEA, DVP&Rs, failure analysis, statistical control methods
- Knowledge of GD&T, finite element analysis and design for reliability concepts
- Experience with designing products for international safety certifications
