Product Development Engineer

Therabody, the wellness tech leader, is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to take ownership of a product family. This role requires strong experience in the product development life cycle from concept to completion. The ideal candidate will be the go-to person for a specific product family, focusing on being the product expert, leading development of new products, and researching ideas for new products or upgrades to existing lines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be the internal subject matter expert for a suite of products
• Run the product development process from end to end
• Lead the development of potential new products from conceptualization to production
• Define product specs with stakeholders and engineering
• Collaborate with the manufacturing team to produce working prototypes
• Stay updated with the latest technology to generate ideas for potential new products

The ideal candidate should have:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 3+ years of meaningful experience in product development
• Experience with heat transfer and fluid dynamics (a plus)
• Experience with sensors and biometrics (a plus)
• A desire to work with a fast-growing company and willingness to collaborate
• A go-getter mindset and enjoyment in exploring uncharted territories
• Engaging and persuasive personality with ability to build relationships
• Outside the box approach to creative thinking
• Outstanding organizational skills with keen attention to details
• Excellent follow-up and time management skills
• Strong ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
• Proactive self-starter attitude with creativity and flexibility
