theScore, a wholly-owned subsidiary of PENN Entertainment, is seeking a QA Automation Engineer Co-op for Fall 2024. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge digital media and sports betting products that empower millions of sports fans.
As a QA Automation Engineer Co-op, you'll be integral to maintaining and improving automation frameworks for web and mobile applications. You'll work closely with QA Analysts and product managers to identify testing requirements, investigate test failures, and track bugs. This role provides hands-on experience with version control systems, unit testing frameworks, and continuous integration tools.
The ideal candidate should have knowledge of software development concepts, experience with iOS and Android devices, and familiarity with automating web application tests. Experience with Git, jUnit/Cucumber, GraphQL, RESTful APIs, and Jenkins would be beneficial. Responsibilities For QA Automation Engineer, Coop - F2024
- Help maintain automation frameworks for Web and native mobile apps on Android & iOS platforms
- Investigate test failures using root cause analysis during maintenance and planning efforts
- Meet with QA Analysts and product managers to identify testing requirements
- Identify, record, and track bugs
- Participate in code reviews and pair programming sessions with other Automation Engineers
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
Requirements For QA Automation Engineer, Coop - F2024
- Knowledge of the SDLC and software development concepts
- Experience with the iOS and Android family of mobile devices
- Experience automating tests for web applications
- Experience using version control (Git), and unit testing frameworks (jUnit / Cucumber)
- Experience with GraphQL & RESTful APIs is considered an asset
- Experience with continuous integration (Jenkins) is considered an asset
- Knowledge of basic scripting (Bash / Python / Javascript) on macOS or Linux/Unix environments is considered an asset
- Experience using Xcode/Android Studio is considered an asset
- Experience with defect tracking tools (JIRA) and defect workflow is considered an asset
