Our Technology team builds platforms and products that provide a new smart ticketing solution and venue experience.

The Data Engineering team at Tickets.com builds and maintains data pipelines to integrate baseball fan interaction and transaction data from hundreds of sources into our Data Warehouse. We leverage modern, real-time data-streaming solutions for all of our new data pipeline development, and we're moving towards Google BigQuery as our Data Warehouse platform. We're Pythonistas and regularly develop complex Python scripts to interact with APIs and data stores. SQL is the lingua franca across all teams in our organization.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

  • Developing tools and processes leveraged by the entire Data Engineering team
  • Working on data sets that measure fan behavior, enhance products, optimize marketing pipelines, and directly impact the business' bottom line
  • Using a broad range of technologies within Google Cloud Platform's ecosystem
  • Working with diverse data sources, including ticket sales from TicketMaster, Tickets.com, StubHub, and other ticket brokers
  • Mentoring junior Data Engineers and reviewing their design and code
  • Embracing the DevOps mentality to build and support data applications in the cloud

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in cloud data warehouses and data pipelines
  • Expertise in Python and SQL
  • Experience with large (Terabyte-scale) data sets
  • Experience with MPP Data Warehouses (e.g., BigQuery, Oracle Exadata, Redshift, or Teradata)
  • Experience with GCP, OCI, AWS, or Snowflake
  • Comfort in a Linux environment and with basic server administration tasks
