Job Description

Toyota's Data Department is seeking a Data Engineer to join their team in Plano, Texas. This role focuses on developing and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure solutions for data platforms and building data engineering pipelines. Responsibilities For Data Engineer

  • Develop and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure for Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and analytics platforms
  • Develop automations for provisioning and configuration of cloud resources
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data platform components
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot incidents
  • Build and maintain platform health checks and monitoring
  • Develop and maintain end-to-end data engineering pipelines
  • Develop automation frameworks for pipeline testing
  • Document technical designs and operational procedures

Requirements For Data Engineer

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • 1-2 years of developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
  • 1-2 yrs of experience developing data pipelines using Spark, Scala, Python, Databricks or Spark platforms
  • Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries
  • Understanding of cloud security fundamentals
  • Knowledge of Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Experience with BI / Analytics platforms
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills
