Truecaller, the world's leading caller ID and spam-blocking service, is seeking a Data Engineer to join their Infrastructure team in Stockholm, Sweden. With over 450 million active users globally and a strong presence on both Android and iOS platforms, Truecaller is at the forefront of making communication smarter and safer.

As a Data Engineer, you'll be part of a dynamic team responsible for building and maintaining a scalable, self-service analytics platform that powers data-driven decision-making across the organization. The role involves working with billions of events daily, requiring expertise in big data technologies, ETL pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.

The position requires 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with strong skills in Spark, Scala, and Python. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies including cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure), orchestration tools like Airflow, and modern data infrastructure. Experience with Kafka, Kubernetes, and streaming platforms is highly valued.

Responsibilities For Data Engineer

  • Maintaining and improving the ingestion pipeline to reliably deliver billions of events daily in defined SLA
  • Provide support for all teams in building and optimizing their complex pipelines
  • Work closely with other teams to identify pain points and problems around the platform
  • Develop new tools and frameworks to improve the data platform
  • Facilitate company-wide to be data-driven
  • Work in close collaboration with data scientists and data analysts
  • Work with vast projects such as building an ML platform and streaming use cases
  • Setup best practices and processes around software and data development

Requirements For Data Engineer

  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering
  • Experience working with orchestration tool (ex: Airflow)
  • Experience working with a large data set
  • Experience building complex ETL pipelines
  • Experience working with cloud providers such as GCP, AWS, or Azure

  • Experience working with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Git
  • Strong understanding of Software Engineering practices and principles
