Truelogic, a New York-based nearshore staff augmentation leader with over 600 tech professionals in Latin America, is seeking a Senior Android Engineer for their media and entertainment client. The client operates a 24/7 Nielsen-rated digital network delivering premium content across multiple platforms, including extensive live sports coverage and original programming.
As a Senior Android Developer, you'll be instrumental in designing and developing Android applications that provide seamless streaming experiences. The role demands expertise in Kotlin/Java development, with a focus on implementing streaming media solutions and managing ad network integrations. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams while taking end-to-end ownership of features from design to production.
The position requires 4+ years of Android development experience, strong proficiency in Kotlin/Java, and expertise with streaming media solutions and ad network SDKs. You should be comfortable with mobile architecture patterns and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities For Senior Mobile Engineer (Android) - Technology (Latam)
- Develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and/or Java
- Integrate streaming media solutions for optimal playback performance
- Implement and manage ad network SDKs and external third-party SDKs
- Collaborate with iOS, backend, product, and QA teams to deliver high-quality features
- Contribute to code reviews, technical discussions, and best practices
- Take ownership of features end-to-end, from design to production
- Work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Quickly understand existing codebases and deliver value with minimal ramp-up time
Requirements For Senior Mobile Engineer (Android) - Technology (Latam)
- 4+ years of experience in Android development
- Strong proficiency with Kotlin and/or Java
- Experience integrating streaming media solutions (e.g., ExoPlayer or similar)
- Experience with ad network SDKs (e.g., AdMob, MoPub, or others)
- Solid understanding of integrating external SDKs and APIs
- Familiarity with mobile architecture patterns (MVVM, MVP, etc.)
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a distributed team
- Proven track record of building Android apps from the ground up
- Ability to work independently and deliver production-quality code with minimal guidance
- Availability for immediate interviews and onboarding
