We are seeking an experienced Drilling Engineer to plan, design, and execute drilling operations for oil and gas wells. In this role, you will work closely with geologists, drilling crews, and other engineers to ensure efficient and safe drilling processes while optimizing operational costs and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise drilling activities on-site
- Monitor the drilling process
- Develop and optimize drilling programs
- Coordinate use and maintenance of drilling equipment
- Ensure equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations
- Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans
- Maintain compliance with environmental standards
- Prepare detailed reports on well performance
- Work closely with geologists, reservoir engineers, and drilling crews
Qualifications:
- Proven experience working on drilling rigs and with well operations
- Strong knowledge of drilling operations, well construction, and completion techniques
- Minimum 3 years of experience in drilling engineering or related roles
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Proficiency in drilling engineering software (e.g., Landmark, Petrel)
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and operational problems in real-time
- Expertise in drilling software, simulation tools, and data analysis programs
Preferred Qualifications:
- IWCF Well Control certification or equivalent
- HSE certifications
- Master's degree or specialized certifications (e.g., Well Control)
- Familiarity with simulation software (e.g., WellCat, Wellsim, or Petex for wellbore modeling)
