Twitch, the world's leading live streaming platform, is seeking a Frontend Engineer I to join their Browser Clients Team. This role is perfect for TypeScript and React enthusiasts who want to make an impact on a platform used by millions. You'll be responsible for building and maintaining the client-side framework that powers www.twitch.tv, focusing on delivering performant and high-quality software to Twitch viewers and creators.

You'll collaborate with feature teams, improve developer workflows, and help shape the architectural decisions that drive Twitch's browser-based clients.

This is an in-person role available in either San Francisco or Irvine, CA, offering the chance to work directly with Twitch's engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience with large-scale JavaScript applications and a degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. Responsibilities For Frontend Engineer I

  • Work effectively with the Browser Clients team and feature teams to build high quality Twitch client experiences
  • Build, maintain and improve the platform capabilities, developer workflows, tools, and processes
  • Become an expert in Twitch's browser-client technology stack
  • Contribute to architectural, technical design, and process discussions
  • Identify and uphold frontend engineering best practices

Requirements For Frontend Engineer I

TypeScript
React
  • A degree in Computer Science, a related Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years experience working on large scale JavaScript applications
  • Experience with TypeScript
  • Experience with React
  • A good understanding of CSS
  • Strong analytical problem solving skills
