UltraViolet Cyber, a leading platform-enabled unified security operations company, is seeking an AWS Security Engineer to join their growing cloud infrastructure and security team. This role combines technical expertise in AWS cloud security with a focus on implementing and maintaining robust security solutions.

The position offers an opportunity to work with a company that provides comprehensive security operations solutions to Fortune 500, Federal Government, and Commercial clients. Based in McLean, Virginia, with global offices across the U.S. and India, UltraViolet Cyber stands at the forefront of security-as-code innovation.

As an AWS Security Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing security controls, managing IAM policies, conducting security assessments, and automating security processes using various AWS tools. The role requires a strong background in cloud security, with at least 3 years of experience focusing on AWS, and expertise in various AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda, and RDS.

Responsibilities For AWS Security Engineer

  • Design and implement security controls and best practices for AWS environments
  • Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities in AWS
  • Manage IAM policies, roles, and permissions to enforce least privilege access
  • Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and penetration tests
  • Automate security processes using AWS Config, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, and Security Hub
  • Collaborate with DevOps to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Develop and maintain documentation for security policies and procedures

  • Experience with security tools such as AWS WAF, KMS, Inspector, and Macie
  • Familiarity with SIEM tools and log analysis
