Responsibilities For Sr Backup Engineer
- Design, Implementation and Administration of Backup environments running on enterprise backup solutions
- Backup Configuration & administration of Cloud native workloads (AWS, Azure etc.)
- Troubleshoot deep technical issues in Backup environments
- Conduct Periodic Performance Analysis and fine tune the Overall Backup Performance
- Handle Technical Escalations from Level 1 and 2 support teams
- Generate and analyze various Backup Reports
- Execute and follow Incident management, Change Management and Problem management
- Track Backup Systems' Capacity and Propose Appropriate Measures proactively
- Participate in DR exercises
- Work in rotational shifts (24X7 coverage model) and provide on call support
Requirements For Sr Backup Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise backup administration
- Expert-level knowledge of at least two different enterprise backup solutions
- Experience of managing large scale Azure and AWS native backup environments
- Knowledge of Windows and UNIX Server Administration
- Strong understanding of networking, security and infrastructure components
- Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Python, Shell) and automation tools
- In depth ITIL process Knowledge & Certification
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent written and verbal Communication
