Unit 410 is seeking an Accounting Engineer to join their growing team, combining software engineering expertise with financial systems design in the blockchain space. This role offers a unique opportunity to build and scale systems that deliver best-in-class accounting and Client Reporting services across various blockchain networks.
The position involves developing robust, scalable, and secure systems that handle critical financial data for both internal teams and external clients. You'll be working with modern technologies like Go and Rust, designing and implementing accounting infrastructure that operates across multiple blockchain networks, each presenting unique challenges and requirements.
As an Accounting Engineer, you'll be responsible for architecting accounting systems from early planning to full deployment, developing essential tools and services, and ensuring system integrity through robust security measures. The role requires collaboration with protocol teams, finance leads, and engineers across disciplines to deliver clean, actionable financial data.

Responsibilities For Accounting Engineer
- Design & Launch Accounting Infrastructure: Architect accounting systems for new and existing blockchain networks
- Build Tools & Services: Develop accounting services and tooling using modern languages like Go and Rust
- Ensure System Integrity: Prioritize security, data accuracy, and system hardening
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with protocol teams, finance leads, and engineers
- Operate at Scale: Create systems that reconcile and present financial data for millions of dollars of on-chain assets
Requirements For Accounting Engineer
- 4 to 8+ years of experience designing, building and launching successful software or systems engineering projects
- Experience working with tools like AWS or GCP and knowledge of how to deploy and operate cloud-native systems
- Prior experience working with accounting systems or financial data pipelines - ideally in the crypto or fintech space
- Proficient in SQL and one or more general-purpose language (e.g.: Go, Python or Rust)
- Background in designing accounting APIs or tooling that supports finance teams
- Self-directed, curious and energized by solving novel problems
