The Team The Capital Supply Vertical is the fuel that powers Upstart's AI based lending operations. As a Principal Engineer at Upstart on the Capital Supply team, you will collaborate with all parts of the Upstart business and engineering, including Machine Learning, Data Engineering, Product Management, Product Design, Platform, Servicing, Lending Partnerships, and Auto. The role will report directly to a head of Capital Market Engineering and work closely with all five of the Capital Supply product engineering teams.

You will help define the Capital Supply engineering's longer term technical roadmap, guide architectural evolution, uncover and drive alignment across complex technical requirements, proactively evaluate and prototype new technologies, partner with product leaders, and mentor technical leaders. Your goal is to autonomously identify and prioritize high impact work that will ultimately make the Capital Supply Vertical successful.
