The Auto Retail Lending team is focused on making it easy, fast, and seamless for car buyers to secure auto loans through dealership partners. As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll be working on building core technologies that power Upstart's Auto Finance platform, with emphasis on driving demand for auto loans by enabling dealership partners to create, present, and close loan offers efficiently.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading collaborative projects with engineering team members and cross-functional partners
• Making architectural decisions to improve software quality and drive technical excellence
• Building dealership-facing tools for deal negotiation, loan creation, and contracting
• Ensuring platform reliability and scalability for Auto Retail loan originations
• Monitoring success metrics like conversion rate and rate presentation
