Vanderlande, a global leader in logistics automation, is seeking a Controls Mobile Engineer to join their North American Service Center (NASC) team. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with critical problem-solving in automated material handling systems. The position requires significant travel (up to 70%) and focuses on maintaining and optimizing Allen-Bradley PLC systems.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring system reliability through expert troubleshooting, incident management, and performance optimization. Responsibilities For Controls Mobile Engineer

  • Diagnose and resolve complex incidents related to automated material handling systems
  • Diagnose, repair, maintain, and commission Allen-Bradley PLC systems
  • Troubleshoot and optimize bus networks (Profibus, ASI bus, Profinet, TCP/IP)
  • Analyze log data to identify and resolve potential system issues
  • Provide on-site support for troubleshooting and commissioning
  • Maintain incident documentation and escalate complex issues when necessary
  • Work with IT systems relevant to industrial automation

Requirements For Controls Mobile Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in controls technology, specifically with Allen-Bradley PLC systems
  • Strong understanding of Low-Level Controls (LLC) and industrial networking systems
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% across North America
