Controls Support Engineer (ASRS – Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems)

Vanderlande, a global leader in logistics automation, is seeking a Controls Support Engineer for their ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems) team. This role sits within the Service Desk department of the Service Deployment Organization, supporting software operations across Airports, Warehouses, and Parcels systems globally.

The position offers a unique opportunity to become a technical expert in controls technology, starting with a comprehensive education program in low-level controls software for material handling systems. As part of a 15-person team of motivated engineers, you'll provide critical 24/7 support to ensure system availability for customers worldwide.

Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, managing incident tickets, and implementing solutions to prevent future problems. Most support is provided remotely via VPN, though you'll serve as a crucial link between different service organizations and internal departments. The role requires excellent analytical and communication skills, as you'll frequently interact directly with customers to understand and resolve their technical challenges.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a technical field and a strong affinity for controls technology. While relevant experience is preferred, Vanderlande offers comprehensive training to develop your expertise. You must be comfortable working in a 16/5 schedule with rotating stand-by duties for nights and weekends.
