Vanderlande, a global leader in logistics automation, is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to join their UK engineering team of over 1000 engineers. This role, based in London with hybrid working arrangements, focuses on implementing controls engineering standards and systems. The position requires expertise in LLC code development, SCADA applications, and safety systems implementation. The ideal candidate will work on diverse projects, developing designs and following challenging standards to add value to customers worldwide. The role involves system design, technical administration, and project execution from pre-commissioning to integration. Responsibilities For Senior Controls Engineer
- Advise and review projects in the sales phase (compliancy check)
- Translate and optimize functionality to working LLC design within budget
- Create detail design based on system design and controls architecture
- Realize controls applications and integrate into systems
- Execute pre-commissioning and commissioning
- Create documentation and test/validation plans
- Execute tests in house and/or on site
- Create detailed LLC planning from overall project plan
Requirements For Senior Controls Engineer
- Able to develop LLC code in Siemens S7, Allen Bradley and FSC
- Knowledge of SCADA applications in WinCC and WebFactory
- Able to develop safety systems using Siemens S7-F, PILZ
- Understanding of material handling systems
- Knowledge of customer processes in relevant market segments
- Experience with test strategies and methods
- Knowledge of Material Handling Equipment
- Knowledge of business process automation (HLC)
