Responsibilities For Senior QA Automation Engineer
- Build automation tools and test automation frameworks from scratch
- Work closely with Software engineers to understand application design and specifications
- Design and develop comprehensive test automation suites for web and mobile applications
- Configure, run and monitor cloud and/or DevOps environments related to automation and project
- Identify and develop test strategies, plans, and test cases
- Automate tests using home-grown and open-source test frameworks
- Spearhead Automation efforts across multiple projects using the latest test frameworks
- Develop reusable tools for test automation and identify new methods for automation
- Execute and do failure analysis to complement manual test team efforts
- Prepare test data based on business scenarios and create tools and scripts to manufacture test data
Requirements For Senior QA Automation Engineer
- 5+ years of experience building test automation for web or mobile apps with embedded or IOT
- 5+ years' experience with REST API test automation using languages like C#, JavaScript or Python or Java or TypeScript
- Experience with end to end testing tools such as Selenium, Appium, Webdriver IO, Cypress, Nightwatch
- Ability to implement continuous integration and build automation systems, such as Jenkins, Bamboo, Octopus, etc.
- Knowledge of cloud-based platforms such as Perfecto, Source Lab etc.
- Experience with BDD tools such a Cucumber or similar
- Experience in relational databases, such as Oracle/ SQL server and no-SQL databases, such as Couchbase/ Neo4J
- Hands-on in API testing techniques and tools
- Experience in the IOT domain and testing of cloud-hosted applications, SaaS
- Familiarity and knowledge about CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Gitlab, CircleCi
- Experience with Source Code Management Tools (e.g. Git, TFS, RTC)
- Strong interest in new automation technology and trends
- A strong foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
