Description For Senior Network Engineer (Fortinet Resident Engineer)

As a Senior Network Engineer (Fortinet Resident Engineer), you'll work in an innovative and fun environment. We're seeking a highly experienced professional to serve as a Fortinet Resident Engineer for one of our enterprise clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Fortinet subject matter expert
- Design, implement, and manage Fortinet security solutions
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolve complex network security issues
- Work closely with client's IT and security teams
- Develop and maintain technical documentation
- Assist in integrating Fortinet products with other technologies
- Support network security audits and compliance initiatives
- Stay updated with the latest Fortinet technologies and industry trends
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7-10 years of experience in network security engineering
- Extensive hands-on experience with Fortinet products (FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer)
- Proficiency with other networking and security technologies (Palo Alto, Cisco, Aruba)
- Fortinet certifications (NSE 4, NSE 5, NSE 6, or NSE 7) highly desirable
- Additional certifications like CCNP, CCIE, PCNSE, or equivalent are a plus
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

- Serve as the Fortinet subject matter expert

- Conduct knowledge transfer and training sessions for client personnel
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and policies
- Assist in the integration of Fortinet products with other technologies
- Support the client in network security audits and compliance initiatives
- Stay updated with the latest Fortinet technologies and industry trends
- Proactively provide recommendations to improve network security posture
- Lead initiatives to enhance network performance and security
Requirements For Senior Network Engineer (Fortinet Resident Engineer)
Linux
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7-10 years of experience in network security engineering
- Extensive hands-on experience with Fortinet products (FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer)
- Proficiency with other networking and security technologies (Palo Alto, Cisco, Aruba)
- Strong understanding of networking protocols, firewall policies, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network segmentation
- Fortinet certifications (NSE 4, NSE 5, NSE 6, or NSE 7) highly desirable
- Additional certifications like CCNP, CCIE, PCNSE, or equivalent are a plus
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated leadership and mentorship capabilities
