Description For Process Engineer

Verista is seeking a Process Engineer to support conceptual and detailed design, process scale-up, product development, process validation, and implementation of operational improvements in pharmaceutical manufacturing environments. This entry-level role involves working with clients or as part of a Verista team to determine root causes of manufacturing investigations, design/execute experiments, and evaluate data for improvements. Engineers will write technical reports supporting manufacturing process changes, optimizations, and regulatory filings. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in chemical, biomedical/biochemical engineering, or related fields, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a team. Responsibilities For Process Engineer

  • Support conceptual and detailed design
  • Support process scale-up and product development
  • Assist in process validation
  • Implement operational improvements to resolve manufacturing process investigations
  • Determine root causes of manufacturing investigations
  • Design and execute experiments
  • Evaluate data in support of improvements and investigations
  • Write technical reports for manufacturing process changes, optimizations, and regulatory filings

Requirements For Process Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical, biomedical/biochemical engineering, biological/chemical sciences or equivalent
  • Must live in or relocate to the Kalamazoo MI area
  • Proficiency using PC and Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • GxP and Good Documentation Practice training (may be completed at onboarding)
  • Process training (may be completed at onboarding)
  • Intermediate skills with WORD
  • Basic skills with EXCEL and PowerPoint
  • Experience with and tolerance for high levels of challenge and change
