Job Description

Verkada is expanding rapidly in the EMEA region and is seeking a Lead for their Technical Support Engineering team to support their growing base of enterprise customers in the London office. As a member of Technical Support Engineering, you will join a skilled team supporting the entire line of Verkada cloud-managed building security products.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Full-stack troubleshooting of the entire Verkada platform
  • Providing best practice design, installation, and configuration expertise to enterprise customers
  • Communicating technical matters to customers both orally and in writing
  • Owning customer issues and escalations from creation to resolution
  • Assisting others with case escalations
  • Collaborating with Engineering and Product teams to test new products and identify bugs
  • Writing technical knowledge base articles and whitepapers
  • Staying up to date on the latest products and industry technologies
  • Building tools and processes that will scale
  • Mentoring and leading junior team members

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related technical discipline
  • 4+ years professional experience in a technical or IT role
  • 2-3 years of prior leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of network fundamentals
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Verkada offers a competitive salary range of £50,000 - £75,000 for this role, along with additional benefits such as medical, vision, & dental insurance coverage, fertility benefits, fitness/wellness allowance, and more.

Requirements For Lead Technical Support Engineer - London

Linux
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in related technical discipline: Networking, Telecommunications, Systems Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Cybersecurity
  • 4+ years professional experience in a technical or IT role
  • 2-3 years of prior leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of network fundamentals: HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, NAT, DHCP, 802.11, firewalls, Ethernet/Cabling, PoE, and software systems
  • Ability to communicate complex technical matters both orally and in writing
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
