Description For Network Operations Center Engineer (NOC)

Via is seeking a Network Operations Center Engineer (NOC) to join their team that monitors and maintains the network's health around the clock. As a NOC Engineer, you'll tackle real-time issues, prevent outages, and ensure systems run smoothly, making a direct impact on the company's performance and customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include monitoring Via's global infrastructure, managing internal communications about service status, working with R&D teams to resolve complex issues, and implementing timely solutions to customer problems.

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills in English, a background in Computer Science or related fields, and at least 2 years of experience in Tier 2 support in a SaaS environment. You should be able to work shifts, including nights and weekends, and possess a high level of service orientation and empathy. Knowledge of scripting languages like Python and Bash is preferred.

Responsibilities For Network Operations Center Engineer (NOC)

  • Monitor and maintain network health around the clock
  • Tackle real-time issues and prevent outages
  • Monitor global infrastructure, including cloud services, servers, applications, and real-time activities
  • Manage internal communications about service status
  • Work with R&D teams to resolve complex issues
  • Implement timely solutions to customer issues and escalate when needed

Requirements For Network Operations Center Engineer (NOC)

  • Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and writing)
  • Background in Computer Science / Engineering / Information Systems or similar areas
  • At least 2 years experience with troubleshooting and providing Tier 2 support / IT Services support in a SaaS environment at a global company
  • Able to work shifts, including nights and weekends
  • Highly service-oriented and empathetic
  • Ability to work under pressure in a Production environment
  • Great sense of urgency to identify and triage incidents quickly
  • Team player who can also work independently
  • Scripting/Programming knowledge (preferably Python and Bash)
