Job Description

Voxel is revolutionizing workplace safety through AI and computer vision technology, addressing the critical issue of workplace injuries that affect nearly 3 million US workers annually. As a Platform Software Engineer, you'll join a mission-driven team working on cutting-edge technology that directly impacts worker safety.

The role involves building and scaling sophisticated systems that power real-time perception and video analytics for industrial environments. You'll work with distributed systems, handling video ingestion and processing at scale, while developing APIs and backend services that support the platform's core functionality. This position offers an opportunity to work with modern technologies including Kubernetes, Kafka, and cloud infrastructure.

The ideal candidate should have 0-2 years of experience, with a strong foundation in backend development and an interest in distributed systems and machine learning infrastructure. You'll be part of a collaborative environment, working alongside ML engineers, product managers, and researchers to bring computer vision solutions to production.

Voxel offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, equity, 401k, and flexible work arrangements. Based in San Francisco with a global team, the company is backed by leading VCs and serves Fortune 500 clients across retail, manufacturing, and logistics sectors.
