Job Description

WalkMe, a pioneer in Digital Adoption Platform (DAP) technology, is seeking an Algorithms Engineer to join their innovative team in Tokyo. This role sits at the intersection of artificial intelligence and digital transformation, focusing on enhancing WalkMe's revolutionary runtime engine that serves hundreds of millions of users.

The position offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge AI technology, specifically integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) into WalkMe's core products. You'll be responsible for developing and implementing advanced algorithms for GUI perception, working on both client and server-side solutions. A particular focus will be on localizing services and algorithms for the Japanese market, requiring strong expertise in both Japanese and English languages.

As an Algorithms Engineer, you'll lead the full R&D lifecycle, from problem definition through to deployment, while working with structured and unstructured data to create sophisticated algorithmic solutions. This role reports to the Director of R&D in Tel Aviv, offering exposure to international collaboration and innovation.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical credentials with a degree in Computer Sciences or Engineering, combined with fluency in Japanese and professional English skills. Experience with modern web technologies, cloud architectures, and machine learning is highly valued. The role offers the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment with a structured office schedule, allowing for both collaborative work and flexible arrangements.

Responsibilities For Algorithms Engineer

  • Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) into Walkme's core products
  • Localize Japanese services and algorithms previously verified in English
  • Develop and apply advanced algorithms for GUI perception
  • Lead full R&D lifecycle including problem definition, research, design, implementation, verification and deployment
  • Analyze large volumes of structured and unstructured data
  • Work on both client and server side solutions

Requirements For Algorithms Engineer

JavaScript
  • Degree in Computer Sciences / Engineering
  • Fluent in Japanese - Must
  • Middle to upper Business English level - Must
  • Experience with modern web technologies and cloud architectures
  • Understanding of JavaScript runtime core concepts (advantageous)
  • Familiarity with algorithms in machine learning, NLP, and LLMs
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be in the office 3 times in a week (Mon,Tue,Wed)
