Responsibilities For Staff, Software Engineer
- Design & develop highly scalable services and solve complex software systems problems
- Provide technical direction, architecture leadership and expertise to the team
- Drive projects of high visibility across the organization
- Participate in medium to large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects
- Develop high performance and scalable Omni Catalog Service
- Design and develop integrations with next generation downstream applications
- Handle high impact, critical software/systems monitoring issues
- Troubleshoot business and production issues
Requirements For Staff, Software Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and 4 years' experience, OR 6 years' experience in software engineering
- Hands-on development experience with RESTful Services, Java/J2EE, JavaScript, Python, NoSQL
- Working knowledge of cloud technologies (AZURE, GCP, OpenStack)
- Experience in internet-scale distributed technologies (Solr, Kafka, MemCache)
- Experience with relational and no-sql databases
- Advanced knowledge of complex software design, distributed system design, design patterns
- Experience with distributed version control like Git
- Strong expertise in Cloud Technologies like Azure and/or GCP
- Experience in DevOps, Chaos Engineering, SRE, and on-call rotations
- Strong expertise in Java, Scala, Object Oriented & Functional Programming
