Description For (USA) Principal, Software Engineer

Walmart Global Tech is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join their team in Sunnyvale, CA. This role sits at the intersection of advertising technology and front-end engineering, focusing on developing and maintaining tools for enhanced ad trafficking, automation, and creative previews.

As a Principal Engineer, you'll be responsible for developing next-level ad products that serve across multiple platforms, both on and off property, online and in-store. The role requires deep expertise in front-end technologies, particularly React.JS, Angular, Next.JS, GraphQL, and TypeScript, combined with a strong understanding of advertising technology ecosystems.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of front-end engineering experience and will serve as a subject matter expert in ad tech, including SSPs, DMPs, DSPs, marketing clouds, and ad servers. You'll be responsible for translating business objectives into technical execution, establishing workflows across teams, and providing technical leadership through code reviews and architectural guidance.
