Job Description

Warner Bros. Discovery is seeking a Senior Lab & Software Engineer to lead their Product Engineering group's Optimus Video Fidelity Lab. This role combines hardware management expertise with software automation skills to support the streaming video player development across 70+ platforms.

The position involves managing a sophisticated testing environment for the Direct-to-Consumer business, ensuring seamless viewing experiences for millions of users across Android, Apple, Desktop, and various living room devices. The role requires both technical expertise and leadership skills, as you'll be guiding a distributed team between Bellevue, WA, and Bangalore, India.

Key responsibilities include managing the physical lab space, maintaining device infrastructure, developing automation solutions, and serving as a technical expert for the broader Player team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in software development/test automation, strong proficiency in Node.js/JavaScript/TypeScript, and extensive knowledge of various OTT devices and networking protocols.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $119,700 - $222,300, along with comprehensive benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, and various incentives. While the role follows a hybrid work model, significant on-site presence is required due to the hands-on nature of lab management.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically skilled professional who enjoys both hands-on work and leadership responsibilities.
