Data Engineer

Data is critical to Wealthfront's success. As a Wealthfront Data Engineer, you will help build and maintain the company's core datasets. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the company, including Engineering, Product, Data Science, Marketing, and Finance. Your role involves understanding the details of the data they produce and consume, shaping metrics and analyses, and building systems for automated confidence in data.

Key responsibilities include:

• Curating datasets for data scientists, analysts, product managers, and business functions
• Modeling the business data layer and designing scalable data pipelines
• Maintaining a data catalog and ensuring data quality
• Managing reporting and dashboarding tools
• Defining and maintaining company-wide metrics
• Building a new data access layer on top of the data platform
• Becoming a subject matter expert in various areas of Wealthfront data

We're looking for candidates with:

• 4-6 years of experience in metrics-focused deliverables within a data-driven, consumer-facing software company
• Expert-level SQL knowledge and deep experience with high-level programming languages
• Experience with big data processing and analytic reporting tools
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills
• BS or MS in Computer Science or related field
