Job Description
Weave (YC W25) is a well-funded, rapidly growing seed-stage startup backed by top investors, building software for engineering teams to move faster. As the Founding ML Engineer, you will build machine learning systems to understand and improve software engineers' work. You will establish processes and standards to streamline feature development and model building. Your primary goal is to delight customers by providing intelligent solutions that significantly enhance their productivity.
In this role, you'll construct custom machine learning models, fine-tune LLMs using reinforcement learning, and design and train models from the ground up. You will work closely with the CTO, who previously founded Causal, and the CEO, who has a sales background from high-growth startups. This position offers significant growth opportunities and support.
The compensation for this role ranges from $150,000 to $215,000, in addition to an equity package of 0.2% - 1%. Benefits include working closely with the CTO and CEO, and an in-person San Francisco office culture. Responsibilities
- Build ML systems to understand and improve the work that software engineers do
- Build processes and standards to make building every incremental feature and subsequent model easier
- Delight customers with intelligence that makes their job 10x easier
- Build custom machine learning models, including fine-tuning LLMs using reinforcement learning or designing and training models from scratch
