Weir Marine Engineering is seeking an Electronics Engineer to join their Naval Combat and Control Systems division in LaSalle, Montreal. This permanent position involves evaluating and validating electronic systems' performance and ensuring military requirements compliance. Responsibilities For Electronic Engineer - NETE

  • Design and analysis of electronic systems from system-level to printed circuit boards
  • Design and implementation of test benches for electronic subsystems
  • Testing, analysis, and validation of electronic products in lab and on-site
  • Development and validation of microcode for MCUs, CPUs, or DSPs
  • Collection and analysis of experimental data
  • Drafting test plans and documentation in English
  • Collaborate with team members and work autonomously

Requirements For Electronic Engineer - NETE

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Electronics
  • Minimum 3 years experience in electronic hardware design and debugging
  • Proficiency with electronic schematic and PCB design tools
  • Knowledge of embedded systems, sensors, signal processing, and power supply
  • Experience with processors (8051, 68HC, ARM, MSP430, AVR, PIC, TMS320)
  • Canadian citizenship and continuous residence in Canada for past 10 years
  • Ability to obtain Government of Canada security clearance
