Responsibilities For Software Engineer Team Lead
- Directly manage software engineers assigned to the product team
- Assist direct reports in setting and prioritizing goals
- Contribute to setting direction according to the product management process
- Maintain roadmap and budget for the product team
- Ensure company policies for SDLC lifecycle management are followed
- Lead build vs buy decisions
- Integrate internal and external product design

Requirements For Software Engineer Team Lead
- Post-secondary degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years of experience leading large design efforts and managing project teams of 4 or more members
- Previous professional experience collaborating with business stakeholders
- Experience shipping code in an agile SDLC
- Experience in performance analysis and benchmarking
- Knowledge of multiple frameworks, paradigms, languages, and trends
- Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills
- Strong understanding of design patterns
- Knowledge of asynchronous programming, queuing, caching, logging, security, and persistence
- Practical knowledge of algorithms, big O complexity, and the CAP theorem
