Responsibilities For Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE)

  • Create, review and edit authorization documentation for completeness and accuracy
  • Implement DoD RMF system accreditation processes
  • Assess use case and operational risk of integrated open source and GOTS/COTS software components
  • Use vulnerability management systems and automated security scanning tools
  • Provide security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management support
  • Recommend system-level security solutions
  • Support enforcement of trusted relationships among external systems
  • Design, develop, and implement secure networking, computing, and enclave environments

Requirements For Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE)

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with agency appropriate polygraph
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • 9+ years of experience as an ISSE with large multi-tiered programs and Bachelors in related field; OR 7 years with Masters; OR 13 years with High School Diploma
  • Experience implementing DoD system accreditation processes
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, computer architectures, and network topologies
  • DoD 8570 compliance with IAT Level II certification
  • Experience with DISA STIGs and SRGs
  • Must work on-site five days per week
