OTT Live Architecture Lead, YouTube

YouTube TV is an over-the-top (OTT) subscription streaming service that brings live TV and video-on-demand over the internet to various devices. The OTT Live Architecture Lead will focus on building the next iteration of YouTube OTT's ingestion infrastructure, partnering with engineering teams to build scalable intelligent software on top of the YouTube ingestion and delivery network. This role requires experience in system integration, vendor management, broadcast infrastructure build-outs, video processing, compliance and QC, streaming protocols, and media delivery systems. The ideal candidate should have experience in streaming media, live linear or live event broadcast engineering, and experience leading technical operations or integrations in the streaming or broadcast space.

The position involves architecting and implementing a high-performance video ingestion platform, modernizing legacy broadcast systems, owning business outcomes related to platform performance, serving as a subject matter expert, representing Google in industry standards bodies, and partnering with content companies to devise and implement strategies.

YouTube, as part of Google, offers a competitive salary range of $171,000-$257,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
