Job Description
ZEISS India, headquartered in Bengaluru, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in SAP ABAP to join their regional CIT India team. This role combines deep technical expertise in SAP systems with hands-on development responsibilities. The position involves working with both R/3 ECC 6 and S/4 environments, focusing on Material Master Migration and application lifecycle management.
The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development, with strong expertise in S/4 Hana and Flexible Workflow. You'll be responsible for implementing enhancements in the SAP ERP System, providing technical support across global regions, and managing the full lifecycle of solutions from handover to retirement.

Responsibilities For Senior Software Engineer – SAP ABAP
- Implementation, Rollouts, Change Requests by executing data reloads
- Full participation in projects
- Monitoring of data loading process chains
- Management of incidents, resolve technical incidents
- Support users in application questions, conduct user training
- Technical support of roll-out activities in APAC/EMEA/US Region
Requirements For Senior Software Engineer – SAP ABAP
- Technical or University Degree in computer science, software engineering or similar field
- 5+ years of experience in SAP ABAP plus RAP application
- S/4 Hana minimum 3 years experience
- Strong ABAP skills both with Core ABAP and ABAP OO
- Knowledge on OData, AMDP, CDS View
- Advanced English language skills
- Experience working within an international environment
- Flexibility to work outside of normal working hours or on-call arrangements
